As a royal castle, it was used by the monarch to imprison people for various reasons, however these were usually high-status individuals for short periods rather than common citizenry as there were plenty of prisons elsewhere for such people. i remember seeing the tower lit up at night sailing home on a thursday night from the isle of man to heysham, knowing i had just another three hours drive home to irvine ,some nights you could n't see it though ! Tower Wharf was built on the bank of the Thames under Edward I and was expanded to its current size during the reign of Richard II (1377–1399). It is eye to eye with St Pauls and Tower Bridge but the river view is obstructed in places by buildings which wouldn’t have been there in the 1700s.Under the ceremonial charge of the Constable of the Tower, operated by the Resident Governor of the Tower of London and Keeper of the Jewel House, and guarded by the Yeomen Warders, the property is cared for by the charity Historic Royal Palaces and is protected as a World Heritage Site.

I miss Blackpool and have always compared it with places I have visited, nowhere has even come close.Entrance to Tower Bridge can be purchased as an add-on to a Monument ticket, valid to use within a week. Blackpool is in danger of losing its Family appeal if it carries on with the loose morals that are being displayed, without any control. I could not have imagined someone putting together a list of best views so it holds even more value for me.
