The Makita mlt100 table saw makes noise, especially when starting, whereas 2704 does not make vibrations. It is powerful enough to increase the speed of the machine. That is why it makes you complete a task in a short period. Pinion fence rails The blade can sit at a 90-degree cutting angle and cut down to 93mm. The angle is adjusted from -0.5 to 45.5 degrees. When it is at 45 degrees, it goes down to 64mm. Accurate cutting The height adjustment action is of the smoothest and most effortless that I’ve experienced on a saw in the MLT 100‘s price range.

The rip capacity has a sub-table that can accommodate an 8×4 ft sheet. It complements the overall machine. 10-inch blade

Hi Jean, First of all, thanks for such detailed review. Do you know if its possible to use the throat plate that comes with Makita 2704 in the MLT100? If it is, it would be an outstanding improvement, considering that, in my understanding, the plate of 2704 is completely of aluminium. I don’t know the exact measures of each plate. As for the fence, well, my solution was to make an entirely new replacement fence. I never got around to it and more recently I decided to upgrade my saw. I haven’t found one yet but in the meantime, I am not going to bother upgrading the saw.
